PARTS AVAILABLE- A PROGRESS REPORT FOR BELLANCA OWNERS AT OSHKOSH. A new Minnesota company called Alexandria Aircraft LLC purchased the assets of Bellanca Inc from the Minnesota Department of Economic Security on May 30. This purchase included the type design data for Bellanca models 14-19 Cruisemaster through 17-30A Super Viking, and the Eagle Model DW-1 Agricultural Spray Airplane. Alexandria Aircraft LLC has been busy restructuring the Bellanca assets to reduce overhead and make the manufacturing of parts more efficient. We have vacated some 6000 square feet of floor area and are moving the Wing Plant to our airport-located facility; that means moving lots of inventory and heavy machinery. We have also submitted a QC Manual to the FAA Minneapolis Manufacturing Inspection District Office and applied for Parts Manufacturing Authority; we hope to start manufacturing new parts under this system in the next few weeks. We have set-up our Parts/Sales infrastructure so we can start to sell and ship from our existing inventory of re-inspected parts manufactured by Bellanca Inc and Bellanca Aircraft Corporation starting August 1. We are trying to develop a price model which will be based on the cost of making the part. We think this will be fairer and more consistent, and by doing so we think we can lower the price of most parts. This is going to take some time to put in place for all the thousands of parts we have in inventory and we may not be able to give you an immediate over-the-telephone price for the part you want. But we will set prices on parts as you order them and get back to you with a good price within 24 hours of your call.
